Welcome to Chace Street School
Dear Parents/Guardians,
Ah, spring in New England... one day the temperatures are in the upper seventies, and the next we're lucky if it hits fourty-five degrees. Please ensure your child is dressing appropriately for the weather; students go outside daily for recess, weather permitting, every day.
Our window project (Phase One) is FINALLY COMPLETE! The new windows will enable us to better regulate heat loss in the winter, as well as provide a better level of security for our students and staff. A HUGE thank you to the construction company, the SB district maintenance personnel, and the taxpayers of the town of Somerset.

Important dates to keep in mind are here:
- April 30 - Spring Pictures (all students will take part in class pictures, otherwise only those whose parents request them will take individual photos)
- May 2 - Grade 3 Wax Museum
- May 3 - Walk the Walk event at SBRHS - 1:30 PM
- May 7 - FUN RUN!
- May 9 - Grade 1 Field Trip
- May 20-23 - Scholastic Book Fair
- May 26 - No School - Memorial Day
- June 13 - Field Day
- June 17 - Early Release Day, 12:30 Dismissal
- June 18 - Early Release Day, 12:30 Dismissal
- June 18 - 5th Grade Ceremony, 10:30 AM
- June 19 - Juneteenth - No School
- June 20 - Last Day of School - Early Release Day, 12:30 Dismissal
2025 MCAS Dates:
- May 8 & 9 - Grade 5 Math test
- May 12 & 13 - Grade 4 Math test
- May 14 & 16 - Grade 3 Math test
- May 15 & 19 - Grade 5 Science test
