Dear Parents/Guardians,
Back to School! 🎉
We're rapidly coming up on both Thanksgiving and the end of the first trimester, and the school and students have been having a successful year..
On the last Friday of each month, we will have our monthly "Hat Day." These days are an opportunity for students to highlight their personality and creativity. Many students contribute $1 (or any amount, some don't donate any money - this is not a requirement to participate!), and the money collected is donated to a worthy cause. All hats worn must not obstruct student faces.
We have begun our Principal's Attendance Challenge; students with the highest attendance rate will be recognized throughout the year for their drive and presence, and various pop-up events will take place randomly.
Finally, please keep in mind that students will go outside daily for recess, weather permitting. Every day it is not inclement weather, as long as the wind chill is above 25 degrees, students will go outside for their scheduled recess. It is important that they dress for the weather - if it is chilly (or cold), sweatshirts, sweaters, or jackets are expected, and if it has been wet but isn't raining, warm and/or water resistant shoes are recommended.
Students MUST wear outer gear (sweatshirts if the temperature is below 50 degrees, jackets if below 40) to participate in outdoor recess!
